The annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was proclaimed in 1992, by the United Nations General Assembly. It aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
Humber College continues its efforts in advancing an inclusive and accessible campus by promoting an understanding of disability issues and to mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Diversity encourages you to become familiar with Humber's Accessibility Policy and Acessible Customer Service Policy.
Join us on December 3, 2018, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., The Learning Resource Commons (LRC), North Campus, as we recognize the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
