An Intro to iNaturalist - Earth Day Walk

In honour of Earth Day and April being Citizen Science Month, join staff from the Humber Arboretum to learn about iNaturalist, a citizen science platform that allows you to record and share your sightings of living organisms and add them to an international database of knowledge. You'll also learn about citizen science in general, and how to participate in the Canada-wide City Nature Challenge coming up on iNaturalist April 25 to 28.

We'll take a quick look at the website before heading out on a nature walk where we'll demonstrate how to use the app.

When: Tuesday, April 22, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.

Where: Meet inside the Centre for Urban Ecology. The Centre for Urban Ecology is the glass building with the red door on the Arboretum grounds. The main entrance of the Humber Arboretum is at the back of Humber North Campus, beside the residence buildings.

How: Free. No registration is required.

Optional: Participants may want to install the free iNaturalist app beforehand so they can try it out themselves during the walk, or wait and learn more about it first.
