January Speaker Academic Integrity

Join us for this interactive, experiential, and Indigenous-wisdom-centred presentation, which invites us to collaboratively explore current barriers to “nourishing the learning spirit” (Battiste), particularly when teaching required Indigenous content. The session will address challenges involving AI detection, policy issues such as Indigenous erase/replace through GenAI, increasing “collaborative student disengagement” through social media and its academic integrity implications, and the tension between failing students and meeting enrolment-driven funding expectations.
