Kinesiology Showcase Invitation

On Thursday, November 23, 2023, the fourth year Kinesiology students from the University of Guelph-Humber will be showcasing their final Knowledge Translation Projects as part of KIN*3060: Human Development and Aging. Half of the students will present in the morning session (8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.), with another new batch of projects on display in the afternoon (2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.).

Students have developed a wide range of multi-media strategies to effectively communicate their scientific findings to a general audience - so faculty, staff and students from across the Guelph-Humber and Humber community are welcome!

Here is just a sampling of what our students have been working on:

  1. Can yoga decrease the risk of post-partum depression?
  2. Does early sport specialization improve or hinder future elite sport performance?
  3. Does cannabis exposure impair the developing brain and impact academic performance?
  4. Can intermittent fasting slow down the aging process?
  5. Is the Mediterranean diet good for people experiencing menopause?

All student groups will display their projects simultaneously in an open 'expo' style. Please feel free to come by at any point during the showcase to interact with our students, ask questions etc.  All are welcome, so bring a friend too.

We look forward to seeing you there.
