Let’s Talk Diversity: Inclusive Communication Breaking Barriers

The Public Relations certificate students would like to invite you to the inaugural Let’s Talk Diversity: Inclusive Communication Breaking Barriers event.

The event addresses the need for more education on the use of inclusive communication in the workplace. It will consist of a panel discussion addressing issues of diversity and inclusion from BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and Indigenous perspectives, and matters related to ableism. There will also be a workshop and a networking session with food and refreshments.

We are welcoming a diverse range of guest speakers:

  • Ariana Wabie (Indigenous Services Canada)
  • Jordan Cullum (Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation)
  • Semhar Misghina (Supply Ontario)
  • Vince Ciarlo (Ciarlo Communications)

Our activities will be moderated by community activist and mentor Jefferson Darrell (Breakfast Culture).

Your attendance and support would be much appreciated. We ask that you also share with your students and anyone on campus who may be interested in attending.
