The Math & Writing Centre is pleased to presents a Sports in Canada Conversation Circle!

We are piloting new theme-based Conversation Circles to run in the fall, and we are excited to announce an upcoming one featuring Sports in Canada.

Please invite students to join us in the North Math & Writing Centre (LRC 3rd floor) on August 13 from 3 to 4 p.m. for our special sports-themed conversation circle.

In the Sports in Canada conversation circle, students will learn about:

• Summer and winter outdoor activities across Canada
• The development of sports throughout Canadian history
• The influence of various sports cultures, from Indigenous traditions to immigrant communities

Students attending can take part in interactive activities and discussions to do any or all of the following:

• Improve their vocabulary
• Build speaking and listening skills
• Learn about Canadian culture
• Share their experiences and perspective
• Meet other language learners
• Enjoy talking and learning about sports in Canada
