The human body is generally not designed to sit for extended periods of time or to perform repetitive tasks on the computer. A safe and comfortable workstation is essential in reducing and preventing strain on our muscles and joints.
This session will:
- Introduce the concept of ergonomics.
- Describe the types of risk factors that pertain to an office computer workstation.
- Show you how to set up a safe, healthy and comfortable workstation.
- Provide an overview of good work practices that can prevent or minimize injury and discomfort.
