This open rehearsal will feature the Humber Studio Jazz Ensemble playing the music of Kenny Wheeler with compositional analysis by Gord Sheard, Head of Humber Composition.

Kenny Wheeler, a Canadian composer and trumpet and flugelhorn player, was known for his jazz, but he was also active in free improvisation and even occasionally contributed to rock music recordings. Kenny wrote over one hundred compositions and was a skilled arranger for small groups and larger ensembles.

This is the second event in Composer Week celebrating Kenny Wheeler. The event is free and open to the public.
