Pathways to Human Rights, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Education & Action - Pilot Relaunch

The Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning and the University of Guelph-Humber (Humber) is committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive culture in which all members of the College community study, work and live free from discrimination and harassment. 

The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion (Centre) continues the work of providing high quality human rights, equity, and inclusion training to all employees of Humber. The Centre is currently reviewing the Pathways to Human Rights, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Education & Action training (Pathways to Human Rights training). A pilot relaunch of the revised training is now being offered. The date, time and registration link are below. Register now to secure your spot.

Please note:

  • Registration for this training will be limited to the first 25 registrants
  • Full credit for completion of the mandatory Pathways to Human Rights training will be awarded to those who attend this session
  • In addition to our regular post session evaluation, participants may be asked to take part in a quick post session focus group or one on one telephone chat

Requirements for registration:

  • You have not yet completed a Pathways to Human Rights training at Humber
  • You are willing to provide feedback of the training through either a brief focus group or a quick one-on-one chat

Learning objectives:

  1. Understand the scope and rationale for the policy
  2. Describe the four core areas of the policy
  3. Recognize the purpose of the complaint resolution procedures
  4. Identify the five complaint resolution steps
  5. Understand the process after final decision

Please come prepared to participate. This requires inner reflection, deep inner work and engagement. The training is interactive to provide an opportunity to participate.
