Ready, Set...Lecture with Dr. Don Moore!

Academic Services at the University of Guelph-Humber invites all staff, instructors, students and guests to attend the Fall 2015 University of Guelph-Humber Feature Lecture. The Feature Lecture, titled “Terrorizing Media: The Cultural Politics of Representing Terrorism and 'the Terrorist Other' in Contemporary Cinema and Media,” will be presented by Early Childhood Studies and Media Studies instructor, Dr. Don Moore.

Dr. Moore has authored over a dozen articles and book chapters on the topics of contemporary critical theory, cultural studies, post 9/11 cinema and globalization. He is also the co-editor of a collection essays titled, “Beyond Ground Zero: 9/11 and the Futures of Critical Thought. He states, “Terrorism happens in the media, in many ways even more culturally and symbolically traumatic than how it happens to buildings and people.”
