Retirement: Dalyce Newby

Please join us as we help Dalyce Newby celebrate her well-deserved retirement after an incredible 40 years of service to Humber learners and the greater Humber community.

Throughout her time at Humber, Dalyce has worked in various roles including:

  • Buyer, Accounts Payable, Clerk
  • Educational Consultant
  • Part-Time Faculty
  • Intercultural Centre Coordinator/International Student Advisor
  • International Student Advisor

For the past 32 years, Dalyce's focus has been on supporting international students during their transition to life in Canada. She is a recognized leader amongst her colleagues both at Humber and across the country. During her early days working with international learners, the international student population at Humber numbered in the hundreds; Dalyce has witnessed and supported our growth to over 10,000 international learners.

In her spare time, Dalyce is a historian and a published author with vast knowledge of freedom seekers and the underground railroad, as well as black history both in Canada and the US.

We hope you'll join us as we recognize her accomplishments and share in her joy.
