"The Struggle Back - Through the criminal justice system with addictions and mental illness"

This film speaks to the struggle with addiction and mental health and how the individuals (in this film) addressed this challenge in their lives. They also provide their suggestions on how justice, law enforcement and service providers can support to those who need the help. This film will be used in courses at the College and as a training tool for various community, law enforcement and justice agencies. The purpose of this film was to remind all of us the nature of human and community service and how important it is to hear from those who need the help, rather than only the "experts."

This film was made through a collaborative partnership with the Police Foundations and Journalism Degree Programs, and was primarily developed by the student project team recruited from both programs.
