As part of our goal of becoming the healthiest campus in Canada, Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber became smoke-free as of January 1, 2019. In keeping with Humber’s Smoke-Free Campus Policy, smoking of any kind, including smoking tobacco and cannabis products as well as e-cigarettes/vaping, is now prohibited on all Humber property. Members of the Humber community who want to smoke will need to leave campus property to do so.
For those interested in quitting or reducing their tobacco consumption, Toronto Public Health (TPH) offers smoking cessation workshops. Eligible participants will attend a cost-free workshop, presented by a TPH nurse, which consists of a one-hour educational presentation, one-on-one counselling, and a five-week supply of nicotine replacement therapy.
