Transition to Work: Employment Preparation for Persons with Disabilities

In honour of the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, 2020, Humber College and University of Guelph Humber present Transition to Work: Employment Preparation Webinars for Persons with Disabilities.

Take part in our one-day event with employment preparation webinars and networking opportunities with community organizations that provide employment services for persons with disabilities. Community Partners include Specialisterne, Coalition for Persons With Disabilities and JVS.

  • Session 1 (9:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.)
    Welcoming and Workshop 1: Why and How Employers are Diversifying Their Teams and Hiring More People with Disabilities
  • Session 2 (11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.)
    Disability, Stigma and the Workplace
  • Session 3 (1:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.)
    Disclosing in the Workplace and Closing Remarks

These sessions are free for all students, all community members and practitioners, but are targeted to equip job-seekers living with a disability. Registration is strongly encouraged prior to November 27, 2020.
