BuildingF Launch Event

On December 13th, join us for an open house to celebrate the launch of BuildingF (formerly the AdCentre), a new home for creative and business collaboration at Humber’s School of Media Studies. Specializing in communications, BuildingF brings marketers and agencies together with advanced students from virtually any Humber program, to produce strategic creative content and technology solutions. BuildingF brings crowd-sourced creative to your business, while you help Humber create more powerful educational experiences for our students.

Last Call for Fall

Peer Assisted Learning Support Office and Learning Commons are hosting Last Call for Fall taking place on Wednesday, December 13th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the 3rd floor of the LRC North Campus. The event is designed to provide study space and support for all Humber and University of Guelph-Humber students as they get back on track for remainder of the Fall semester.

CTL: Writers' Collective

The Writers' Collective is an opportunity to dedicate some time to writing in a silent group setting, on a regular basis. Come, have some coffee, and write quietly, in a focused manner. All are welcome, and attendance is flexible - come for part of the session or all of it; come some weeks and not others. The Writers' Collective takes place on the second and fourth Friday of every month.

Massage Therapy Awareness Day

Join us on December 12th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the North Campus Concourse for Massage Therapy Awareness Day. This event is hosted by semester 3 Massage Therapy students from the School of Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism. 

Learn about the effects of massage therapy, the benefits it has on various conditions and what to expect in massage therapy treatments. Come speak to our students, participate in booths and have the chance to win a gift certificate to our on-campus Massage Therapy Clinic! 

CTL: SoTL - Introduction to "R"

R is a free open source statistical package that can be used to gather, manipulate and visualize data. This workshop will provide an introduction to the basic skills needed to begin analyzing your data.  Specifically, you will learn how to (i) enter, import, modify and visualize data and (ii) perform basic statistical procedures.
