Meet the New Chartwells Team at Humber

Walter Da Silva

Walter is the District Manager overseeing North and Lakeshore Campus. He comes to us from Ryerson University where he was the General Manager of Food Services, focusing on Guest Engagement while enhancing Culinary offerings and driving retail experience.

As a Humber Alumni himself, he is most proud and excited to be back, building upon what was accomplished before and making a stronger community between students, faculty and staff.


Edil Gure

Edil is the Quality Assurance/ Health and Safety Specialist responsible for the North and Lakeshore Campus. She bring a wealth of knowledge to the team with experience in Public Health and Occupational Health and Safety from Ryerson University.

She brings with her a fresh set of eyes and expertise from working in the Public Health unit at Manitoba Health. She is passionate about Food Safety, Food Security and Health and Safety.


Amit Banerjee

Amit is the General Manager of North Campus. His portfolio will include the Food Emporium, J.J Café, Hawk’s Next, Linx Lounge, Tim Hortons, Starbucks and the new CTI. Amit joins us with 22 years of experience in restaurants, fast casual dining, quick service restaurants, with strong retail leadership.

As a brand ambassador, it is always “back to basics” for Amit, and he is passionate about guest experience by executing Quality Service and Cleanliness in his daily operations to protect the brand.


Nicholas Moore

Nicholas is the Executive Chef of North Campus. Nicholas comes to us with an extensive culinary background and numerous prestigious awards for executing great tasting food while honing his culinary management skills.

In every unit he steps foot in, he implements best practices which streamlines all areas of the kitchen to deliver superior culinary experience. He is excited to help shape and elevate the food culture and to meet the growing food trends at Humber.


Imad Farhat

Imad is the Executive Chef of Lakeshore Campus. Throughout his career, he has acquired skills and experiences resulting in excellent guest satisfaction. He has always been passionate about creating innovative healthy choices that are designed to surprise and enchant his wide variety of guests.

Imad is excited to be working at the Lakeshore campus and is dedicated to providing a healthy and welcoming food taste experience.


Veronica Trask

Veronica is the Marketing Execution Manager focusing on Student Experience responsible for the North and Lakeshore Campus. She is truly passionate about marketing where she has working in a global capacity, most recently in Spain.

One of her main objectives include leveraging social media, marketing and culinary programs, and exhibiting unique promotional events to maintain a finger on the pulse of the latest student activities and hottest food trends.


Kevin Ribeiro

Joining us in January 2019 as the Director of Catering responsible for North and Lakeshore campuses. Kevin comes to us from Trinity College (UofT), where he focused on guest experience and engagement inclusive of catering and residence life.

As the Director of Catering, his passions for hospitality and culinary ensure that all of his clients expectations are delivered with high regard, to exceed the best experience possible.
