I would like to announce the following changes for the Office of the Registrar.
Lakeshore Campus – Sarah Peake, Associate Registrar
Sarah Peake joined the Registrar's office team in mid-December, as the new Associate Registrar, Lakeshore. She is replacing Tanis Boak who assumed a new position in the Humber Human Resources department last week. Sarah, will work with Sarah-Jane Greenway when she returns from maternity leave later this summer.
Sarah joined us just before the Christmas holidays and I am proud to say that she survived January start-up. Prior to joining us Sarah worked for Sheridan College as the Manager of Admissions. Previous to that she was the Director of Admissions and Recruitment for Wycliffe College - University of Toronto. She also worked for Georgian College in Corporate Training.

North Campus – Janene Christiansen, Associate Registrar, Fees Reporting and Scheduling
Janene Christiansen is now the Associate Registrar, Fees, Reporting and Scheduling. Based on her role on the project team and the new responsibilities that are emerging this promotion is an extension of the great work she is doing and the new responsibilities she will have when the new system is implemented. The first area in her portfolio that will be changing is the scheduling function. There will be added responsibility brought to the centralized scheduling function so we need to ensure we have the right resources to deal with the changes and develop the appropriate policies so we have been given approval to hire a manager of scheduling. The Scheduling Manger will report to Janene and give direction to the scheduling team and support the academic schools with their scheduling needs. Janene will also be acquiring more responsibility in the Fees, Student Accounts Receivable and Reporting areas given the upcoming process changes affiliated with these functions.
I know you will all support me in thanking her for her tremendous work over the last year on the project and on-going Ministry initiatives. The next several modules of the system project will be led by Janene so she will be more project focused for the next little while.
Rhonda Harrison, Chair, Convocation
Rhonda Harrison will lead the organization of the Convocation ceremonies for the up-coming year and Lucie Moretti will focus on training initiatives related to the new student system implementation. There will be an added requirement for more quality assurance and staff training in the Registrar’s Office over the next year with the new student system implementation and to ensure the required focus is given to both these important functions we have asked Rhonda to assume the event planning function for convocation that normally reside in the Manager of Quality Assurance role, held by Lucie Moretti.
