Black Walnut Harvest Workshop at the Humber Arboretum

Join Humber Arboretum beekeeper John Coffman for a workshop on native black walnut trees and the nuts they produce. Inspired by John’s own family tradition of harvesting and preparing black walnuts, you’ll learn how to identify these trees, what role they play in our local ecosystem, and how to harvest and prepare black walnuts.

When: Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (one hour lunch break)
Where: Centre for Urban Ecology, Humber Arboretum (at the back of the North Campus) 
How: $35 plus HST ($39.55) + Eventbrite fee.
