L&D Workshop – Listening to Understand & Listening to Win (Managers)

Experience a ‘Learning Lab’ called Listening to Understand & Listening to Win

This is a new concept in training delivery for L&D, known for: No paper, no desk, no PowerPoint.

This We! course is all about communication and understanding and listening:

Listening to Understand is about "we" not "me". Here, the aim is to understand, really understand. Not with the desire to fix problems or make things better but to really comprehend and accept what the other person perceives. People who do this well set aside judgments and are really curious about how others see themselves in the world. This approach to listening benefits everyone involved. As a leader who excels at Listening to Understand your perspective of the world and people grows. As a result of attending this workshop leaders will understand:

  • The difference between listening to understand and listening to win – what they are and the difference in impact
  • How listening to understand allows leaders to deepen their perspectives
  • How to recreate themselves in the act of listening

Target Audience: Associate Deans, Associate Directors, Managers

Facilitator: Carol Fenn, Starfish Learning (SLI)
