Social Hackathon for Access to Higher Education

Interested Humber staff are invited to join us for a day of social innovation with our community, industry and school partners to solve issues that affect the attainment of higher education.

Join Humber for a day of social innovation where we will engage you in a different kind of community advisory experience.

Community Outreach & Workforce Development (COWD) is hosting a full-day social hackathon on February 28 to address access to higher education issues that affect underrepresented individuals.

This Hackathon is the perfect opportunity to share your expertise and to help us develop systems-thinking solutions that improve access to postsecondary education.

The morning will focus on situating the problem, the need and the opportunity as it relates to access to higher education being a crucial driver of economic and social development.

In the afternoon, after being equipped with information and resources, you will be placed on cross-sectoral teams to design systems solutions to one of four access issues posed along the higher education student cycle.

This event will feature a great keynote, many opportunities to network, and will help generate solutions that will collectively move the dial forward on post-secondary access.
