CCSIF and Partnership Development Virtual Workshops

On Monday, May 11, Applied Research & Innovation will host two online workshops: 

1. Introduction to the College and Community Social Innovation Fund (45 minutes)

The College and Community Social Innovation Fund (CCSIF) enables colleges to increase their capacity to work with communities, with the goal of developing partnerships that foster social innovation in areas such as education, integration of vulnerable populations, and community development. CCSIF grants support well-defined and focused social innovation projects undertaken by college researchers with their partners from the public, private or not-for-profit sectors.

Come to this workshop to gain a better understanding of the:

  1. Program objectives and selection criteria
  2. Process to develop and submit your application
  3. How Humber’s department of Applied Research and Innovation will support your application

Time: 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

2. Applied Research Partnership and Project Development (1 hour and 10 minutes)

Developing strong applied research partnerships and projects is the first step to delivering a successful project and making a meaningful impact on your partners, students, community and Canada. 

Through this workshop you will learn tools and tips to develop strong applied research partnerships and projects. This workshop is appropriate for anyone developing an applied research project whether you have a partner in mind, or you are exploring opportunities. The workshop will help when developing partnerships for all sorts of research partnership grant types, including (but not limited to) the College and Community Social Innovation Fund (CCSIF) , NSERC Engage, Applied Research and Development and Innovation Enhancement grants; and SSHRC Engage and Partnership grants.

Its is highly recommended that you attend if you wish to pursue a CCSIF application.
