The Mathematics, Research Skills and Analysis Department will be hosting a virtual event on Thursday, May 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. to celebrate international Women in Mathematics Day!
Every year on May 12, mathematical communities around the world celebrate Women in Mathematics Day – an opportunity to host events that highlight the phenomenal achievements of women in mathematics and inspire young women everywhere. The event will consist of a screening of a short documentary film about the journey of three women mathematicians from three different continents. There will also be a post film discussion where attendees can discuss the challenges, experiences, and opportunities for women in mathematics.
