Worn Down By Words, The Micropedia of Microagressions

On September 20, the creators of The Micropedia of Microagressions and Worn Down By Words will be at North Campus to talk about this project, meet students, staff, and faculty and answer any questions you may have. Register to attend the talk and learn more about this initiative.

Ever asked a racialized person where they’re really from? Or told a woman to smile more? These every day, seemingly harmless moments are known as microaggressions.

Worn Down by Words is raising awareness of the harmful impact of these subtle slights – often referred to as a death by a thousand paper cuts. Learn more about microaggressions.

Worn Down by Words and The Micropedia of Microaggressions was created on behalf of the Black Business and Professional Association, Canadian Congress on Inclusive Diversity & Workplace Equity, Pride at Work Canada and the Diversity Institute. The project contributors are graduates of Humber College’s Faculty of Media & Creative Arts.
