New Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Policy and Procedure

Humber College and the University of Guelph-Humber, recognizes the increased use of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems – RPAS (commonly referred to as “drones”) for recreational, commercial, educational and research purposes. In an effort to ensure safe operation of RPAS in compliance with Transport Canada regulations, the college has approved a new policy and procedure document outlining the requirements for RPAS/drone use at any campus location (indoors and outdoors). The policy and procedure will be administered by the Department of Public of Safety.

If you are planning to fly an RPAS anywhere on campus, you need to familiarize yourself with the requirements of the policy and to follow all the procedures outlined in the documents posted online.

Thank you for your cooperation.
