Community Pond Dip at Humber Arboretum

Join education staff from the Humber Arboretum to discover what lives in a pond. All ages are welcome (Yes, that means adults!).

The Humber Arboretum has three ponds teeming with life. Our education team will lead you in safely and gently dipping a net into one of the ponds to see what organisms you can find in the water. Everything from aquatic insects to tadpoles and crayfish, you never know what you will find. We will help you identify and learn a little about the creatures you uncover. And don’t worry, none of the pond creatures will be out of the water for long; we will get everyone we pull out of the pond back in quickly, so as not to harm any of the organisms.

All are welcome, including staff and students from Humber College and the local community.

This event will be rain or shine. Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty and sturdy footwear that may also get a bit wet. All equipment will be provided.
