Safety and Health week is an annual observance celebrated in Canada, the United States, and Mexico with the goal of focusing employers, employees, partners, and the public on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home, and in the community.

Humber College is committed to creating a safe and healthy working and learning environment for the entire Humber community. Every day next week, Occupational Health and Safety Services will be posting health and safety information in the Communiqué. Together, we can create safe workplaces and communities.

For this year’s Safety and Health Week, Occupational Health and Safety Services is excited to announce a chance to win some prizes via our Health and Safety Photo Contest! At the end of next week, we will invite all employees to submit a photo related to one of next week’s topics. The photos that are most applicable to the daily topics next week will be selected as the winners – so be sure to keep an eye on the Communiqué each day next week (photo idea tips will be provided throughout the week).
