Do you have what it takes to save the planet?
Daybreak is a cooperative board game where players take on the role of various countries and regions of the world that need to work together to tackle the climate crisis.
In honour of the UN International Day of Clean Energy the day before, students and staff are invited to come together on January 27 and see if they can find a path to a livable future.
When: Monday, January 27 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
(While game-play time can obviously vary, it is expected to take close to the full event time to play a complete game. It is fine if some players need to leave a little early.)
Who: This event is presented by Humber and University of Guelph-Humber Library and Humber Arboretum and is open to all Humber Polytechnic and University of Guelph-Humber students and staff.
Where: North Campus, Learning Resource Commons (LRC), 3rd floor landing
How: This event is free but space to play Daybreak is limited.
Please register in advance through Eventbrite to secure a seat at one of the Daybreak tables. Drop-ins will be able to join if space is available.
Can't be there at the start, or stay for the whole time? Anyone who would like to watch a little of the game, play one of the shorter nature games from the Humber Arboretum's collection, explore clean energy resources curated by Humber & University of Guelph-Humber Library staff, or just learn more about Sustainability at Humber and the Aroreturm's and Library's services and programs are welcome to drop by any time during the afternoon.
