Come enjoy the up-beat groove and rich harmonies of Afro-Caribbean influenced jazz! Humber Music's “Latin Night" will be a thrilling concert featuring a trio of Humber's distinguished ensembles: The Latin Jazz Ensemble directed by Hilario Duran, the Brazilian Jazz Ensemble directed by Joaquin Hidalgo, and the Salsa Ensemble directed by Alex Naar.
These exceptional Humber students will treat audiences to a kaleidoscopic musical journey that highlights the passion and dynamism of music from South America. Each band will share their unique interpretations of these Afro-Cuban-influenced jazz forms, immersing the audience in the sweet vocal harmonies, energizing dance rhythms, and sizzling brass of “Latin American” music.
This final Student Showcase Concert of the season promises to be an enlivening evening, ideal to celebrate the approaching end of the academic year and leave you dancing!
