As part of Humber Polytechnic’s ongoing commitment to advancing truth and reconciliation, we proudly recognize Treaties Recognition Week—a time to honour and deepen our understanding of the history and significance of treaties and treaty relationships, and how they continue to shape our nation.
Join us on Tuesday, November 4 for the Treaties Recognition Week Indigenous Marketplace, running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will begin with a Land Acknowledgment and opening words about Treaties Recognition Week and Indigenous Education Month, followed by an opportunity to support local Indigenous businesses from across the GTA.
We also encourage the Humber community to learn more about treaty rights and responsibilities. Explore the resources below, curated by Indigenous Education & Engagement in partnership with the Humber and University of Guelph-Humber Library, to support treaty education and strengthen awareness of treaty rights, responsibilities, and relationships.
