From Script to Screen: A Free Online Panel on Screenwriting

Ever wondered how to take your writing from the script to the screen? Join us on Thursday, March 12 from 1 to 2 p.m. for a free online panel with Evan Morgan and Christina Sang-St.Catherine to learn more about the art, craft and business of writing for the screen.

Evan Morgan is a Toronto based writer/director with a background in feature-length and short films. His feature debut The Kid Detective (2020) was acquired and released internationally by Sony with over 850 screens in the US. It was nominated for Best First Feature and Best Screenplay at the Canadian Screen Awards 2021, and was cited on numerous year-end lists by critics from The L.A. Times, Vanity Fair, Variety, and The Guardian, among others. Evan is also the co-writer/producer/editor of The Dirties (2013), a feature-length drama that won the Grand Jury Prize at the Slamdance Film Festival, before being released internationally by Kevin Smith, Phase 4, and Pulse Films. It was one of three nominees for Best Canadian Feature at the Toronto Film Critics Awards. He is a screenwriting mentor at Humber's Creative Writing Graduate Certificate.

Christina Sang-St.Catherine is an award-winning producer, writer, and creative executive working across feature film, television, and children’s storytelling. Her writing includes the feature film Making Room for Lily, a TIFF Pitch This! finalist, and the independent feature Kung Fu & Basketball, currently in development in Manitoba and presented at TIFF as part of the BlackScreen Office’s official delegate slate. She is currently working on her first picture book and has a scripted series in development. As a Creative Producer and Creative Executive, Christina helped shape the global PAW Patrol franchise, as well as many beloved preschool series including Franklin and Friends, Handy Manny, and Max & Ruby, guiding character-driven stories across screen, publishing, and consumer products. Christina is a mentor in screenwriting and writing for children in Humber's Creative Writing Graduate Certificate.
