David Wallace, Professor, Department of English, School of Liberal Arts & Sciences

The Department of English would like to bid a fond farewell to David Wallace, who will be retiring from faculty this June.

David Wallace began teaching at Humber in 1993 as a part-time appointee and became a full-time faculty member in 2002. From 2008 to 2012, David served as program coordinator in the department, with responsibility for all COMM and degree elective English courses at the North campus. Over the course of his career, David has not only taught a wide variety of English courses but has also been instrumental in developing writing courses for Humber’s degree programs and a more reading-focused writing curriculum, particularly in COMM 200 and 213. David has also had an on-going interest in the changing concept of literacy and has written and presented on this topic frequently over the years.  David has every intention of continuing this interest during retirement.
