Bringing Global Education into the Classroom – How do we get our students to develop a global perspective? Strategic Council of Canada polling and top business executives rate a global perspective as one of the top skills needed in today’s job market and by future leaders. A global education approach to teaching focuses on the students’ place in the world community. This focus enriches the student experience by connecting curriculum to real life, helps students manage conflict appropriately and understand the connections among peoples, cultures and environments. Participants will explore how their teaching and learning can integrate the social, economic, environmental, and political aspects of our world no matter what the subject content.
