In this exhibition, first-year students of the Visual & Digital Arts Program investigate traditional and innovative approaches to drawing.
Participating in the shift from preliminary study to primary medium, this emerging group advances drawing beyond longtime academic traditions toward defining a creative voice. A debut exhibition for many of the student-artists in the program, this showcase will introduce viewers to a new group of dynamic faces infiltrating the vast field of the visual arts; conversely, Drawing exposes students to the exciting and self-reflexive experience of public presentation that will ultimately contribute to the development of their respective practices.
