April 28 has been designated the Day of Mourning for workers who have been killed or injured in the workplace. It is a time when workers, families, employers, and others come together to honour those who have lost their lives or have been seriously impacted by work-related accidents or occupational diseases.
To commemorate the day, Humber’s flag will be flown at half-mast on Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28, 2013.
This day also reminds us that we must work together and renew our effort to continually improve health and safety in the workplace.
