At the 2013 Spring Convocation, Humber granted honorary degrees to eight individuals, celebrating their outstanding accomplishments in the fields of business, entertainment, sports, fine arts, law and health care. This year, we celebrated a little further by placing an ad in the Globe and Mail and the National Post on July 18, highlighting their achievements and congratulating our more than 7,000 graduates.

Our honorary degree recipients come from many different backgrounds and possess many different talents. What they all have in common, though, is that each is a stellar role model for our students, showing what can be achieved through hard work, a commitment to excellence and the willingness to stand up and speak out.

Our honorary degree recipients exemplify the qualities that we value as an institution and a community, and I’m thrilled that we were able to honour such a talented group of individuals in this way.
