Applied Research & Innovation Announcement

I am very pleased to announce the following structural changes to Applied Research and Innovation (ARI) in order to better serve the Humber community. Effective immediately, Dr. Krista Holmes is back from maternity leave and has been appointed as the Associate Dean, Applied Research & Innovation. Dr. Holmes will be responsible for helping to develop and foster an applied research culture and providing operational guidance and excellence to the delivery of Humber’s Strategic Applied Research Plan and activities. These applied research activities include: developing appropriate research policies and procedures, establishing and managing research support services and staff, assisting in the development of academic schools research plans, encouraging scholarly activities, supporting student-based research projects, and promoting College research initiatives to government, industry and the community. Amanda Brown has agreed to accept a full time position as ARI’s Research Partnership Development Manager and will be responsible for partnership development and client relationship management, applied research marketing and communications, and working with the Humber community to identify collaborative applied research opportunities. Duarte Ribeiro, has agreed to accept a contract position as Finance & Operations Analyst responsible for all ARI financial management support. Michelle Bozzetto, has also agreed to a contract position to serve as ARI’s Communications Coordinator will support and coordinate all ARI social media platforms, ARI communications initiatives, and events.
