In recognition of the Transgender Day of Remembrance, November 20, 2017, the Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Diversity joins the Humber community in celebrating and remembering the trans lives lost through systemic and physical violence. Please visit the Centre’s display at the Lakeshore Library, which highlights key resources related to Trans activism and communities. In 2015, Humber launched the first ever Gender Diversity Policy within the Postsecondary sector in Canada. This policy outlines Humber’s position on the responsibilities of the College, students and employees with respect to protecting gender expression and gender identity consistent with the Ontario Human Rights Code.
