In 2018, the contribution rate for CPP will remain at 4.95% of pensionable earnings, to a maximum annual contribution of $2593.80. The EI premium rate for 2018 has increased to 1.66% of insurable earnings, to a maximum annual premium of $858.22. If you reached the maximum for either payroll deduction in 2017, please note that the deductions will begin again with the first pay in 2018.
