Aboriginal Movie Cafe and Inuit Games Presentation

On Tuesday February 13, as part of Channel 51: Igloolik and this month's Aboriginal Movie Cafe screening of Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner, Humber Galleries and the Aboriginal Resource Centre will be welcoming Johnny Issaluk to the Lakeshore Campus. Issaluk is an Inuit Games athlete and will be talking to us about Inuit culture, hunting, and games. He will share his stories of growing up in the north, explain the purpose and history of the games, and even have an interactive portion for the audience to experience some of these games. Following the presentation the monthly Aboriginal Movie Cafe will be screening the Caméra d'Or winning film Atanarjuat and lunch from Nish Dish at the Aboriginal Resource Centre (room WEL 301) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Come to one or come to both!
