SEDS Facilitators - Fall Workshop Announcement

The Business School is very pleased to announce the facilitators have been selected for the four-month SEDS fall workshop opportunity, overseas in Indonesia. They are:

  • Sheryn Beattie
  • Asha Gervan
  • Steve Lichty
  • Peter Sirois

Sheryn has been a faculty member at Humber for 28 years as a professor and program coordinator in the Retail Management program and a Marketing professor in The Business School. Sheryn has been involved with a number of overseas development projects both through Humber and externallyand brings a wealth of international entrepreneurship experience to the assignment.

Asha has worked as an instructor with Humber’s International Development Management graduate certificate and brings more than eight years of experience as Associate Director with Médécins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). She also has experience living and working as an entrepreneur in Indonesia through a retail business importing goods from South East Asia.

Steve Lichty has consulted for Humber in the past and has a range of international entrepreneurship experience, including managing the overseas operations of an international consulting firm. Steve has worked extensively with Georgian College’s International Centre and has taught Business, Human Resources Management, Law, and Leadership at Georgian, St. Lawrence, and Wilfred Laurier.

Peter Sirois has been an instructor with Humber’s Ningbo-Jimei international partnership program and teaches Marketing, Management and Entrepreneurship in the Business School. Additional he has taught business courses at Guelph-Humber and George Brown. Peter was previously the President & CEO of the Etobicoke Chamber of Commerce.

We are very excited to have all of them on board and believe the skill-sets and background they bring will complement each other nicely and will benefit both the project and the partners’ interests greatly.
