Winter Nature Camp at the Humber Arboretum - Special Staff Offer

Valid Until or Avalilable In:

Dec 8 2016 - 1:10pm to Dec 23 2016 - 4:00pm
Looking for something fun for your kids to do during the first week of January? Why not bring them to the North campus for the Humber Arboretum Winter Nature Camp! Kids aged 5-12 are invited to start the new year with four full days of seasonal outdoor fun, led by the Humber Arboretum nature interpreters. Give your child a chance to get outside and be active while they develop a lasting appreciation for the natural environment. Their days will be filled with nature walks and forest exploration; animal tracking and orienteering; bird watching, including owl prowls and chickadee feeding; shelter building; arts and crafts; introductions to citizen science projects, plus snowshoeing and tobogganing if weather permits. Winter Nature Camp 2017 will run for four days, Tuesday, January 3rd to Friday, January 6th. The full week of camp costs $160 or you can book for individual days. FREE AFTER-CARE FOR HUMBER STAFF The regular camp day runs from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., with before-care (from 8 a.m.) and after-care (until 5 p.m.) available for an addtional fee. However, we're offering FREE after-care to Humber College staff and returning summer campers!  To take advantage of this offer, use the regular form to register for camp (and before-care, if desired) but do not select after-care during registration. Instead, as soon as your registration has been submitted, email us at arboretum@humber.ca and let us know:
  • whether you're Humber College staff or a returning summer camp family
  • your name, and the name(s) of the child(ren) registered for camp
  • which days you would like to use after-care
