Organizational Update

As a leader in polytechnic education, it is essential that we strive to continuously improve our capacity to achieve our vision and mission.  To best support our priorities in the context of our Strategic Plan, I am pleased to announce the following organizational changes.

Effective April 14, 2014.

International Education under the leadership of Dean Diane Simpson will report to Alister Mathieson, Vice President Advancement & External Affairs.  Diane and her team will continue their international recruitment activities and support of our 3,000 plus international students from more than 100 countries.  As we launch Humber’s new internationalization strategy, I am confident that Alister’s experience and expertise will complement existing efforts and enhance the development of new strategic partnerships.

In order to consolidate and strengthen Humber’s approach to Corporate Training, initiatives in this area will also be realigned to report to Advancement & External Affairs.  This is a key objective in advancing the strategic priority of maximizing the impact of industry partnerships.  As part of this change, Alister assumes responsibility for developing Humber’s role as the lead Canadian institution in advancing a new partnership with the Global Corporate College.
