Course Description

This hands-on course addresses the design and development of websites using the latest technologies and industry standards. It introduces students to the web development process, HTML & CSS, and a range of web development tools and web building platforms. Students research, assess and use various web building platforms to enhance the customer experience online. Students analyze, examine and evaluate websites based on well-documented criteria. They design and develop a prototype business website for a client as well as their own digital portfolio website using the concepts and tools learned in class, incorporating Search Engine Optimization strategies, social media, and web applications.
