The Discover Toronto Met: Open House is a week-long hybrid event designed to explore how our university integrates mind and action, in the heart of downtown Toronto. Session topics will cover faculties and programs, admission requirements including portfolio and non-academic details, scholarships and student supports. During this workshop, you will learn about how to create a budget as well as tips & tricks for reducing your spending habits.

This workshop is free and Co-Curricular Record (CCR) certified. At the end of the workshop, a link will be given to provide feedback and to receive the CCR certification.life/ccr/.

Note: Completing at least 5 Learning Skills Workshops (LSWs) is required to receive the CCR certification.

In-Person: North Campus - Drop-In STEAM Learning Lab Tours

At the Barrett Centre, you will be introduced to the STEAM Learning Lab.

It is a dedicated space providing support to a range of activities within the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. By providing access to the latest technology and tools, the room facilitates the development and implementation of activities with educational robots. Different technologies include the SPHERO Automated Guided Vehicles; MechLabs introducing participants to the field of mechatronics; Pepper, the Humanoid robot; and the Draw Bot- an interactive system with a collaborative robot.

The Idea Lab will be hosting guided tours of their studio spaces on October 20th from 3-4 pm.

Come meet our team and check out our facilities and equipment such as video studios, audio studios, 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, and more!

In-Person: Lakeshore Grounds Film History Tours

The Lakeshore Grounds have served as a popular filming location for movies, television shows, and commercials since 1977.

Step behind the scenes of your favourite productions as we highlight the locations and stories of these productions. The Tour route includes the oldest section of the underground tunnels.

Tour duration: 1-hour Tunnels and grounds are mobility accessible.

Note: This tour will take place outside, so dress appropriately for the weather.

Join us for an evening of fun at Humber's North campus Athletic Centre.

Agenda

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Tour which includes the gyms, the "C" building facilities, the high-performance centre, the Varsity Academic Centre, etc. Also, learn about adventure programs open to all Humber full-time students such as horseback riding, treetop trekking, indoor rock climbing, and more.
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM - FREE PIZZA!!! After working up an appetite on the tour, pizza will be provided before the main event begins.
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM - Cheer on our Women's volleyball team as they take on Durham college for an exhibition game. Free popcorn will be available during the game.
8:00PM - 9:30 PM (Optional) - Men's Volleyball vs Durham College
