Key Dates

Early October: Online Application Opens - In early October, access to the online college application becomes available for programs beginning in the following academic year (August to July). You may create an account and begin your application.

February 1: Equal Consideration Date - Apply on or before this date in order to receive equal consideration for admission to programs starting the following fall. After this date, colleges consider applicants on a first-come, first-served basis until programs are full.

Note that applications to Highly Competitive Programs must be received by this date in order to be considered. As these programs receive a high volume of applicants, all seats may be filled by February 1.

Applicants are encouraged to complete their applications well before the Equal Consideration Date, as website volumes on the online application are at their highest at this time.

Many programs continue to accept applicants after February 1. Use our Find a Program tool at any time to find programs that are still open.

Step 4

Congratulations!

You’ve received an offer of Admission from Humber.

Types of Offers

Read your offer letter carefully to understand the type of offer you have received. See the Offers of Admission page for more information.

Complete All Steps

There are still a number of steps to complete before you start classes, so be sure to read Steps 5 - 10 very carefully and contact us if you’re unsure about what to do next.

Key Date

February 1 - This is the first date that offers of admission can be made to applicants to all Humber programs.

Step 5

Confirm Your Offer

  1. Go to ontariocolleges.ca.
  2. Log into your ontariocolleges.ca account with your login credentials.
  3. Click on "View Offers" to see your offer(s) of admission.
  4. Select the offer of admission you wish to accept.
  5. Click "Confirm".

ontariocolleges.ca will automatically notify Humber of your decision.

A Note About Confirming Your Offer

Confirming your offer is an exciting step in your journey, but if you’ve applied to more than one program at Humber, you may receive an offer from one program and still be waiting to hear from another. In this situation, applicants are often worried that accepting the offer they have will mean losing a chance to get into the program they’re waiting to hear from.

There are two different situations you may find yourself in and it’s important to understand the difference between them.

Situation #1 - You receive offers from two or more programs at the same time

If Program A and Program B both send you offers at the same time, when you accept the offer from Program A you are declining your offer from Program B.

Situation #2 - You receive an offer from one program, but another program has not given you a decision

If Program A sends you an offer but Program B has not given you an admission decision, you can accept the offer from Program A without any impact on your status with Program B. If Program B sends you an offer at a later date, you can accept that offer and the offer you previously accepted to Program A will automatically be declined.

Key Date

May 1 - You must confirm your offer of admission. Confirmations are made at ontariocolleges.ca. Confirmations made after May 1 will be accepted if space is available in the program. Refer to your offer letter for your confirmation deadline.

Step 6

Tuition Deposit

Don't lose your seat! You need to pay a non-refundable tuition deposit or the full first semester tuition fees (new international students) on MyHumber by the tuition deposit deadline to maintain a seat in your program.

Your remaining tuition balance will be due once classes begin. Refer to the Academic Calendar to check your fees due date.

For more information on tuition deposits, methods of payment, tax receipts, etc. check out the fees page.

What Does My Program Cost?

Wondering what your program will cost? Tuition fees are listed on Humber's program pages.

Bursaries, Scholarships and OSAP

Some students pay rent while others have to keep the car tank full. No matter who you are, you can always use a little help when you're studying. Find information about applying for bursaries, scholarships and the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) so you can keep your focus on school.

WANT TO KNOW MORE?

Read these FAQs for everything you need to know about transferring within Humber.

The overall GPA in the related diploma program must be a minimum of 65% in order to be eligible for the degree block transfer. Applicants must also possess the required English and Math courses. Please see the Pathways section of the diploma program pages for more details.

Students who have graduated from a related diploma program more than 5 years ago are still eligible to apply for the block transfer, but your curriculum will need to be reassessed by the academic school and additional reach back courses may be needed.

If you do not meet the block requirements, you may be eligible to apply for individual transfer credits for the Liberal Arts & Science Breadth Electives if you have a course grade of 75% or more. Please email transferoptions@humber.ca for more details.

There will not be an admission test to get into the degree program form the diploma.

All applications received on or before February 1 will be given equal consideration in the admission process. Post-February 1 applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the availability of space in the program.

Students may be eligible to apply for individual transfer credit if they don’t meet the block requirements. Please contact transferoptions@humber.ca for more details.

Please note: Not all academic schools at Humber grant degree level credit for diploma level course.

Successful applicants with an overall cumulative grade point average of 80% or above in their diploma program will be automatically awarded the $2500 scholarship once they have paid their tuition deposit.
