Held during Indigenous Education Month, the Indigenous Knowledges Gathering (IKG) brings together Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, educators, Knowledge Keepers, Elders, and community members for three days of learning, reflection, and relationship-building.
"The Indigenous Knowledges Gathering begins with a day of learning rooted in relationship with the land. Guided by Indigenous perspectives, participants are invited to spend time outdoors—listening, reflecting, and engaging in teachings that honour our connections to the natural world."
The first day of IKG 2025 is being held in partnership with Humber Arboretum and includes two events.
Please note that each event requires separate registration.
"Join us as we open the Indigenous Knowledges Gathering in relationship. Together, we'll remember, listen and explore what it means to come to know through memory and connection as we co-create a living bundle of remembering.
Registered participants will be invited to participate in a guided discussion. Please bring an item that connects to a meaningful place to you, as part of our shared conversation and reflections."

The walk will move through the beautiful Maple/Beech Forest and into the meadow beside Gaabekanang Ziibi (the Humber River). Along the way, Lynn will share insights about the interconnectedness of all beings and the importance of caring for the Land that sustains us.
