Support Us

The generosity of private donors, businesses, and organizations has had a major impact on the Humber Arboretum over the years. New buildings, expanded collections, important research, and enhanced nature education have all been made possible by the contributions of our supporters. Our ongoing Send a Kid to Camp fund allows children from Ernestine's Women's Shelter to attend our nature camp each summer.

Leaf-shaped plaques on a wall bear the names of various past donors.

If you are interested in making a financial contribution, a gift in kind, or have other ideas about ways you would like to support the Humber Arboretum, please contact us at or call 416-675-5009.

Humber College is a registered charity (Registration #10749 7273 RR0001) and is able to provide charitable tax receipts. To learn more about the many ways you can support Humber College directly, visit

Get Involved

For current students of Humber College and the University of Guelph-Humber, there is the opportunity to get involved with the Humber Arboretum's Learning by Leading™ program, a service learning experience that allows students to develop leadership and professional skills while helping to solve real world problems.

The Arboretum does not have an external volunteer program at this time, but there are many other ways you can support the Humber Arboretum and the Centre for Urban Ecology, including:

  • attending events
  • following and interacting with us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
  • signing up for our newsletters
  • encouraging others to visit and make use of the programs and educational opportunities we offer

Thank you for supporting the Humber Arboretum.

Donate Your Used Children's Outerwear to the Humber Arboretum

Children's snowpants and winter jackets hang from hooks

[Acceptance of donations temporarily on hold while the Centre for Urban Ecology remains closed due to COVID-19]

Do you have used children's outerwear that your family no longer needs but is still in good condition? Sometimes children arrive for school programs or nature camps at the Humber Arboretum under-dressed for the weather and need to borrow outerwear to be able to fully participate. We will happily take the following outerwear for kids and young teens:

  • winter hats, mitts, gloves, scarves, earmuffs
  • winter jackets
  • snow pants
  • winter boots
  • rain jackets
  • splash pants
  • rain boots

Bring your donation to the Centre for Urban Ecology during our regular hours - Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

(Please note the Centre is closed during the periods that Humber College is closed, which includes the Christmas Holidays)

Thank you for your support!
