1. What student realities might be influencing their behaviour that are unrelated to their abilities or commitment to learning? What lived realities might be impacting the apparent focus we experience in the classroom?
2. How might these realities impact students’ ability to arrive on time, listen intently, take notes, sit quietly, attend regularly and/or hand in assignments on time?
3. In what ways do we expect learners to check their identity at the door as they enter our classrooms? In what ways do we create a space that welcomes and celebrates who they are?
