Congratulations to Lida Anwari, Valerie Benigno, Joseph Chan, Ewan Gibson, Cheryl Mitchell, Chris Rugo, Jason Rouatt, Alexandra Ross, Besma Soltan, Varun Verma, Erin Walker and Zee Zaman on being awarded the League for Innovation in the Community College Innovation of the Year Award 2023 for their project, The Idea Lab: Digital Fluency Skills in the Making. 

The Idea Lab is a Library initiative designed to support students in developing digital fluency skills and media-rich assignments requiring fabrication, audio, video, photography, infographics, simple websites, and more. It provides students, staff, and teachers with access to specialized studio spaces equipped with tech support and tools. They also offer workshops on various topics, curated online resources for multimedia creation, student support and open labs for guidance and assistance. With the creation of these spaces, assignments can be created across courses and programs to embed digital fluency skill development, thereby reaching students at different levels of their learning.
