Humber Libraries is delighted to announce that Alexandra Ross is the successful candidate for the role of Associate Director with our department. Alexandra will be based at the Lakeshore campus where she will provide administrative and operational leadership for the Library and Learning Commons. Alexandra will also be championing various strategic and service initiatives with impact across all three of Humber’s campuses. Her portfolio will include the Library functions of research and digital literacies, copyright, communications, assessment as well as developing and implementing the Library’s strategy with respect to institutional learning objectives. Alexandra will officially start her new position on June 18 and she will transition to Lakeshore sometime this summer.
Alexandra has been with Humber since 2009 when she joined us a Business Librarian. While she initially had responsibilities on all three campuses, Business School growth shifted Alexandra’s focus to Lakeshore’s business students and faculty. Alexandra has also been the Lakeshore Library and Learning Commons Coordinator, the Library’s Interim Director and most recently the Advisor on Library Special Projects. In addition to her library experience, Alexandra has worked in executive search and public relations. Alexandra’s educational credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Arts (English), a Master of Arts (Communications) and a Master of Information Studies.
Please join me in congratulating Alexandra on her new role.
